2026 Honda City Spied Undisguised Ahead Of Launch, Here’s What’s New

Design changes include sleeker LED headlights, smoked tail lights, new alloys wheels, while cabin still looks similar to the outgoing model

Although SUVs have always dominated almost every conversation in the Indian market, the battle of sedans has started to heat up. To further spice things up, 2026 Honda City is set to get a facelift on May 22, 2026. Ahead of its launch, the facelifted Honda sedan has been spied completely undisguised at some dealerships, revealing how it looks and what it is set to offer.

2026 Honda City: Exterior

The Honda City facelift gets notable design changes that for sure make the sedan look sportier than before. Changes up front include sleeker LED headlights which merge into the broader gloss black honeycomb grille, while the ‘Honda’ logo has now been placed on the hood above the grille. The bumper too has been completely tweaked for a fresh appeal.

Keen eyed viewers can also spot cameras below the grille and on the ORVMs confirming that the City facelift comes with a 360-degree camera setup. In profile, however, it still looks like a typical Honda City, but now sits on newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels.

No major alterations have been made to the rear, what takes the attention is that it now gets smoked tail lights and an updated bumper. A gloss black lip spoiler also adds to the sense of sportiness.

2026 Honda City: No Major Changes Inside

While the exterior has received some sporty revisions, the interior of the Honda City facelift remains the same. But, for sure it now comes with better equipment which includes an updated bigger touchscreen, ambient lights, and most importantly, ventilated front seats. It continues to get wireless phone charger, a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display, auto AC, and a single-pane sunroof.

On the safety front, the Honda City was already a proven car and gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, and level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems). Do note that the same set of features will be carried forward to the City facelift, along with an important addition which is 360-degree camera.

2026 Honda City: Powertrain Options

Honda is likely to offer the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (121 PS/145 Nm) and strong-hybrid (126 PS, combined) powertrain options with the City facelift. The former comes with both 6-speed manual or CVT, while the latter can only be had with an e-CVT gearbox.

Expected Price

The 2026 Honda City is expected to be priced between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). With this update, it will have a better positioning against its key rivals like Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Hyundai Verna.
