Tata Punch Races Ahead to Become India's Most Sold Car

The Tatas have dethroned Maruti Suzuki from the Top-Selling Car spot! It's the first time in 40 Years that this has happened, and it's quite surprising to see this happening. The unsurprising element is that the Punch was the one to do it!
The WagonR sold 190,855 units. In comparison, to the Punch's 202,030 units (ICE+EV)! 2 Lakh cars is crazy, but how did the Punch achieve this?

The Punch was sold with an option for Petrol, CNG, and as an EV, like any other Tata car, The Punch was equipped with a lot of features and was offered a LOT of variants! 33 to be exact, in comparison to WagonR's 12! The Punch made more sense for buyers from this segment as it gave them a much better value than the WagonR. Let's also not forget that the majority of the WagonR's sales are for commercial use. Indian buyers get an option to either get a 5 Star Safety Rating "sUv" or a tall boy design hatchback with amazing fuel economy with uhm questionable build quality.
Congratulations to the Team at Tata Motors for achieving this feat, But for Suzuki, well they still have cars in the "Top 5 Most Sold Cars in 2024 list" so Congratulations to Maruti Suzuki too for still holding the largest market share.
If you were a buyer from this segment, would you prefer the Punch too? Or make a smart decision to get something from the Used Car Market?
