Qatar Airways Suspends All Flights Amid National Airspace Closure

In a major development following the regional crisis, Qatar Airways has announced the temporary suspension of all its flights until further notice. The decision comes in direct response to the Qatari government’s move to shut down all air traffic movement across its airspace amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel.
In an official statement, the airline said, “As a result of the closure of air traffic movement in the State of Qatar, we can confirm the temporary suspension of Qatar Airways flights.” The airline added that it is coordinating closely with government stakeholders and relevant authorities to support affected passengers.
The airline has assured that all impacted travelers will be provided necessary assistance, including rebooking and travel alternatives once operations resume. “The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority,” the statement emphasized.
This suspension comes at a time when Gulf air routes are facing growing disruptions. With Iran-Israel tensions escalating and missile threats looming, Qatar was among the first countries to close its skies entirely to commercial air traffic, prompting a chain reaction across the regional aviation network.
Passengers traveling to, from, or through Doha are advised to stay in touch with the airline and monitor real-time updates.
