2026 Tata Punch Launched! Prices Start From Rs 5.59 Lakh, Here’s What’s New

The 2026 Tata Punch facelift is finally here! It’s the first-ever midlife update given to Tata’s micro SUV with which it adopts Tata’s latest design language, bringing it visually closer to its larger siblings like the Nexon and Harrier. Apart from design, the 2026 Punch also boasts Punch EV-inspired dashboard layout, some new features, while Tata has also tried to make it more competitive by introducing a more powerful engine option. Let’s have a look at all the changes in detail.
Design: A Baby Harrier!
With this refresh, the 2026 Tata Punch comes closer to its bigger siblings and almost looks like a baby version of the Tata Harrier. Up front, it gets sleeker LED DRLs, however, it misses out on the full-width LED light bar seen on the Tata Punch EV.

The LED headlights remain positioned below the DRLs, as before, but the headlamp cluster now mirrors the Nexon’s design and also integrates the fog lights. The bumper has been revised as well, featuring a new air dam surrounded by a thick silver element that adds to its rugged appeal.
You can hardly make out any difference on the Punch facelift in profile with the redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels being the only noticeable update. At the rear, it now gets connected LED tail lights with a rugged bumper which integrates a prominent silver skid plate.

Tata is offering the Punch in 6 colour options: Cyantific Blue, Coorg Clouds, Bengal Rouge (Red), Caramel, Daytona Grey, and Pristine White. Interestingly, Coorg Clouds, Bengal Rouge and Pristine White shades are borrowed from the recently launched Tata Sierra.
A Punch EV-inspired Dashboard

Step inside the facelifted Tata Punch, and you are greeted by a dashboard lifted straight from the Punch EV, familiar, modern, and uncluttered. It also gets a touch-based climate control panel and a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo as seen on other modern Tata cars like the Nexon and Harrier. The black and grey fabric seats do their job, however, the leatherette would have felt a bit more premium.
Feature Suite

Features on board the 2026 Punch facelift includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display, auto AC, a 6-speaker sound system, single-pane sunroof, rain sensing wipers, and wireless phone charger. Tata has also improved the standard safety kit offered with the 2026 Punch by offering 6 airbags across all the variants. Other safety aids include a 360-degree camera with blind view monitor, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control, and hill hold assist.
Powertrain: A turbo-petrol For the Win
The Punch is now being offered with the option of a more powerful 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine which comes from the Nexon, making 120 PS and 170 Nm. It is only being offered with a 6-speed manual transmission. The existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine continues as well, producing 88 PS and 115 Nm. A CNG variant is also available, with a slightly lower output of 73.5 PS and 103 Nm. Both the naturally aspirated petrol and CNG engines come paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.

Price Range & Rivals
The 2026 Tata Punch starts from Rs 5.59 lakh, while the complete variant-wise prices are yet to be announced. It continues to rival the Hyundai Exter, and can also be regarded as an alternative to the Maruti Fronx, Toyota Taisor, and Citroen C3.
